So Jim, we would love to meet up for dinner and if you end up in North Carolina prior to making a purchase, you can test out my 40D! By the way, I posted some info in the other threat on the comparison of my 40D and my 5D. Hope it's helpful.....

Thanks Celeste. There will be more as these guys continue to develop. Puppies are such fun. I was just sitting with Ms Pink in my arms and both Annie Fay (great grandma) and Rowdy (grandpa) came over to give her an ear lick. Sweet.

Take care,

Jim

Yesterday, we had some folks over for updated baby pictures (human baby) and everyone wanted to see the puppies so while I was setting up for the shoot in the family room, they were playing with the puppies in the studio. When I went in, I noticed the pups were in the process of planning their escape.

First pic is of Mr. Lt Green telling Ms Pink et al that he'll distract the lady while they make a break for it.

The second pic is after the potential escapees were caught in the act. Mr. Lt Green is saying "who, me?" and Ms Pink has decided to eat the box rather than climbing over the side.

These guys are really getting cute and developing personalities. They are a fun group -- a sentiment not necessarily shared by mom, Cassidy. The teeth have made her less than enthusiastic about going into the box to feed.

Thought you'd enjoy a quick update.

So incredibly cute!
Jim, have you thought about individual portrait shots that could be included as a gift to each new parent?

Bob,
we give a small album to each "parent" along with the papers, instructions and shot records. Which is one of the reasons I take so many during their growth stages.

Starting in a few weeks when they begin eating real food, I'll actually try to stack them (which is always a source of incredible laughter in this house) and we'll do head studies. The show owners like to have them for those times they go through the "uglies" at 4 months, 15 months, etc. All puppies go through some really ugly growth stages and it's difficult to remember when they were cute or to believe that they will someday be gorgeous again. So it's nice to have a record.

I have a lot of early Sundance pictures to show people so they can see what he looked like at various stages. They see him now and go "wow, that's a pretty boy!" Which he is but he hasn't always been .

Bob,
here's a series of pictures of Sundance from the last litter -- I did the same for each of the puppies. First, Sundance at 2 weeks of age.

And again at 4 weeks.

Six weeks.

And 8 weeks.

And, finally, at 12 weeks of age.

And this is Sundance today at 17 months of age.

If you look through the puppy pictures, you can see glimpses of where that head came from but if you looked at his 12 week old picture, you would wonder if he'd ever get a head. Such is the development of puppies. You have to be patient when they go through those inevitable ugly stages and try to remember the way they looked at 8 weeks. That's probably how they'll look when they are fully mature. For Sundance, that means we'll have to wait until he's 12 years old .

Anyway, more puppy pics coming this weekend. It's time for me to do head studies for the potential show owners.

What a treat for the new puppy owners- - not only to have the puppy photos but such great quality photos as well.

They are so adorable, really enjoying all the photos myself!
