Have you considered enlisting an SPCA volunteer to walk the dogs out to you in an area where you have a better setup?

One of the local rescues wants me to try cats next time out, not sure how that will go, but I'll give it a shot.

Most of the web photographers at the SPCA do dogs (photographer and helper) so I do the pets that are covered less, cats and pocket pets. I do plenty of dogs in my studio; in fact, I am doing a group shoot of 6 Bassets on Saturday-really looking forward to that. Oh, all six belong to one owner.

Oh I had dogs on the brain, but the same could apply to cats and pocket pets if there is a room available. I know how hard it can be to get space in places like that though.
