Remember that your subject will be closer to the lights than the background; not a problem if it's a black dog, but a REAL problem if it's white, as the subject will blow before the background! That's the case where a strobe BEHIND the subject to light only the background will pay off ... can't lose that fine furry detail!

I believe in f/8!

Thanks again. I just have to get setup and shoot some more. I will remember these pointers. Like I mentioned earlier I need to put an addition on the house so I can set up and leave it for a while. Last time I took the above shots I had blocked the front door:)

Thanks, Jeff

I have to not look at these because I LOVE them and I don't need to be buying more camera stuff right now! But boy I'd love a studio set up to do high key portraits like this, these are just great.

Thanks Dee Dee,
I appreciate the praise. I’d love to have a studio to do High Key in too:) This setup was two old cheapy flashes, some diffusers, a couple bed sheets and a shower curtain. I thumb tacked them to the wall in our dinning room blocking the front door:) But if you do not have a couple or few cheap flashes then you could use some flood lights or something.

Thanks, Jeff
