Wow, Havanese that have been bathed! You don't hardly see that any more .

Nice job, Bob.

Thanks Jim. They were very clean. I didn't think so on the female as she had some brown that appeared to be staining around the mouth / eyes and also some brown on her back. The lady mentioned that they can have virtually any color variation you can imagine. They were great dogs. Extremely friendly and social.

Bob,
Havanese are great dogs -- big dogs in small bodies. Very friendly and not overly hyper. Not aggressive like Terriers can be sometimes. We have a good friend who breeds them and playing with Havanese puppies is one of the most fun things you can ever do!

Frankly, you seldom see them in pure white which is why I was initially thrown. Usually, they are a combination of black, white, brown and, because the coat is very hard, they tend not to look washed even when they are. They also have a corded variety of coat. Wonderful dogs and one of only a few smaller breeds I'd ever consider owning.

I too love this breed and looked into them to enter our pack. Health problems concerned me and when I saw them corded I had a hard time with that coat. (Just personal issue for me) A tough breed to care for with the coat when you are used to a wash and wear breed.

I cannot help but smile at these images. Super fun.

Interesting comments as the lady actually told me that people used to "create" corded coats but that was no longer desirable. However she did say they did require daily brushing. Their coats felt very soft and velvety and more like hair, but underneath the coat seemed move wavy if you will. There also seemed to be more wave in the lower back and hind area. Who knows, I just take pictures!
