Spring is a time of renewal. But, often, it's also a time of survival -- just hanging in there. One of the first signs of Spring here in Central Florida is the return of the multitude of butterflies that feed on our abundant flowers. This week, Linda and I visited the Harry P. Leu Gardens here in Orlando and enjoyed all the sights, sounds and scents of Spring. In the butterfly garden, we watched various species zooming from flower to flower and captured some images of quite a few. One, in particular, caught my eye. A Monarch. Obviously, somewhat the worse for wear having survived buffeting winds and a tenuous journey just to be there. But, there he was enjoying the Lantana. I've dubbed this photo: Tattered, Battered and Torn. And I can personally relate to this intrepid guy
