Ruddy on White

Ruddy on White - 10/05/10 02:28 PM

Last week there were several posts of subjects on high key backgrounds, so here is my shot at it. I don't use plexi, and I can't find the smooth tile board that everyone tells me is at every Home Depot and Lowes. Using fabric I don't even try for high white, just for 'not dingy'. The subject is a Ruddy Abyssinian adult female: GC Abyroads Purdues Legacy

Beautiful.

Try the bathroom section for smaller pieces of Masonite board.

The Tile Board comes in 4x8 sheets and is usually in the lumber section.

Jim, all the 4x8 at my stores have patterns...can't seem to find anything smooth. I'll look again though.

Is yours Hardy board?

I actually don't have a full 4x8 sheet as I was doing most stuff on the road and carrying that around was too much to ask.

Now that I'm doing more in the studio, I'll probably get a couple.

"Hardy Board" sounds familiar, but that could be from our kitchen remodel. Next time I'm in Lowes I'll get the SKU for you.

Hey Preston,

I think this image definitely works. Would someone be able to show a sample of photos take on this board sample?

Thanks
James

Very nice, and quite a feat to get an Aby relaxing!
